A keen interest in photography since childhood made Mehta a Photo artist and a freelance Photo-Journalist.

 

Ever since 1976, when his first photograph was published and he held his first exhibition in Photography, there has been no looking back.

 

Mehta   was  awarded Associateship of India International Photographic Council (IIPC) in 1996.He was honoured with  IIPC Gold in year 2001.

 

He is also an active life member in various photographic organizations and associations in India like the India International Photographic Council (IIPC), Delhi; Federation Of Indian Photography ( FIP), Kolkata,  All India photographic Traders Association ( AIPTA), Mumbai and  Photographic Society Of India (PSI), Mumbai.
